With the world returning to live events in 2023, there is now an abundance of veterinary conferences, events, and continuing education opportunities for veterinarians, technicians, nurses, practice managers, students, and other industry professionals.

We’ve hand-selected a list of top veterinary conferences in 2023 to help you prioritize your year based on opportunities for training, earning CE credits, and connecting with your colleagues.

🌴 Veterinary Meeting & Expo (VMX)

Couldn’t make it in person this year? Registration for virtual sessions is still available online until March 15, 2023. The 5-day conference featured more than 1200 hours of continuing education. From Small Animal track topics to Large Animal tracks and education tracks for Exotics, Farm Animals, Nurses/Technicians, Practice Management, and Personal Development, VMX covers content for all members of the veterinary team.

🎰 Western Veterinary Conference (WVC)

This year, WVC celebrated its 95th annual conference with sponsored parties, ceremony events, and world-class entertainment. The Vegas-based conference is recognized as one of the biggest gatherings of professionals in veterinary medicine globally. If you didn’t have a chance to attend this year, their RACE-approved CE courses are available throughout the year here.

🏈 Midwest Veterinary Conference (MVC)

Hosted by the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, MVC brings together thousands of veterinary professionals every year. No matter your position in the industry, attending this show will be a beneficial learning experience. MVC virtual registration is still available online!

⚽️ British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA)

BSAVA23 includes over 20 modules and 130+ hours of continuing professional development (CPD) covering a variety of disciplines and learning styles—from lectures and panel discussions to interactive sessions and free practical CPD workshops. All sessions are open to the whole profession, whether you're a nurse, veterinarian, or part of the support team. Delegates with a lecture pass can access program recordings on-demand after the event.

🤗 American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM)

Since 1983, the ACVIM Forum has been the premier conference for advanced, specialist-level education in veterinary internal medicine. Their 40th-anniversary event will occur in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from June 15-17, with their Specialty Symposium scheduled for June 14. You can reconnect with colleagues and friends in this historical city as ACVIM celebrates four decades of bringing the veterinary specialty community together.

🏔 American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)

AVMA Convention 2023 is heading west to Denver this summer! The AVMA Convention offers 600 hours of high-quality CE, highly rated special events, and innovative solutions. Select sessions will stream live and be available on demand following the convention.

🤠 Southwest Veterinary Symposium (SWVS)

This year, the SWVS is celebrating its 20th anniversary! The event provides continuing education for veterinary professionals in the southwest region and across the US. The annual symposium is held in the southwest and includes continuing education, exhibits, interactive labs, and social activities.

Southwest Veterinary Symposium is a partnership of the Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas VMAs, the Oklahoma Veterinary Technician Association, the Arkansas Veterinary Technician Association, and the Veterinary Team Association of Texas.
